Sector Models (Fix Sector Splits)

On occasions you may notice that some funds are not allocated correctly, all funds within a sector model must be assigned 100%.  If this is not the case then problems can occur when viewing reports that depend upon sector models, you may notice on a report that allocations are incorrect.

To check or fix allocations you will need to initially know which fund you need to check, along with the sector model.  You can get this from the report if your able to locate it, alternatively on occasions we may notify you when performing housekeeping checks.

To make the amendments, you need to navigate to Setup -> Sector Models

(Please note: If you are unable to access this area you may need to speak with the Fastrak administrator within your organisation to get the necessary privileges, or alternatively they can perform this for you).

Ensure The sector model is set to the correct model, in this example you can see it is set to ‘Test Sector Model’. Then select the Drop-down arrow (Circled in red below), this will then expand all sector models.

Select Ctrl-F on the keyboard, to search for an item within the screen (Some browsers may require a different shortcut; this will make it easier than scrolling down the list).  Within the search box that appears type the fund you wish to locate, then right-click this and Select Multi-Sector Split.

The following window allows you to enter the sector split, this must add upto 100%, this is an example of a sector that adds upto 100%.

You need to then select Save for this to take affect.
