How to update your Model Portfolio & Sector Model 

Depending on how often your firm updates/create Model Portfolios, on Fastrak you are able to update your funds in within your Sector Models – this will save time especially if you are making a small number of updates.

Ensure you have followed your firms process before updating a Model Portfolio as this will impact the Reports you produce on Fastrak. 

This method will show an audit trail of previous Model Portfolios/Sector Models – they do not need to be deleted.

Duplicate - Navigate to Setup àSector Models

Select your Sector Model à Click on the Green icon (circle with 2 people) to the right of this field

A new name will default in the Sector Model field – Rename the sector model if required

The same funds will appear in the tables below you can start updating your funds in the Sector Model.

Add funds to your Sector – Search for your funds on the table on the right and Drag and drop funds to the table on the left under the required Sector 

Remove funds from you Sector – Drag and drop the fund from the table on the left into the Recycle bin located between the tables.

Mark the new Sector Model as the default by clicking on the default box

Once complete - Navigate to Setup à Model Portfolios

Rename your Model Portfolio - Click on the Orange icon with the plus sign located to the right of the Model Portfolio field à A new Model Portfolio name will be created à Rename the Model Portfolio e.g., Genova Jan 2021

On the right-hand side of the screen select the updated Sector Model e.g., New Sector Model 2 à Click on the Set as default next to the new Model Portfolio.
